Rose Romelfanger, 84, Valley City, ND, died Sunday May 7, 2000, at Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City.

Rose Romelfanger was born April 17, 1916, at Kensal, ND, the daughter of Nicholas and Lula (Van Vleck) Romelfanger. She grew up and attended rural school at Kensal. She later moved to Valley City, where she did housekeeping for Dr. Merrit and Hub Peterson. She was also employed by Mercy Hospital in the food service department for 22 years. She was a member and officer of the Degree of Honor and did volunteer work for the Nearly-Nu Store for many years.

She is survived by nieces, Clair (Charles) Harland, Mapleton, ND; Marge (Ron) Ringuette, Jamestown, ND; and Marilyn (Bill) Pritchert, Valley City and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and 11 sisters.

Services: 11am Thursday, St Catherine Catholic Church,
Valley City, with the Rev Gerard Braun
officiating.
Prayer Service: 7 pm Wednesday, Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt
Funeral Home, Valley City
Visitation: 10 am to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home
and one hour before the service at the church.
Burial: 2 pm Thursday, St John's Cemetery, Kensal
