Death of Mr. Heath at Fredonia Sun
Mr. Oscar Heath, one of the most prominent citizens of Chambers county died suddenly at 6:30 A. M. Sunday at his home in Fredonia. Mr. Heath had been apparently in the best of health and his passing away was a shock to his family and a large circle of friends. He had started to his farm Sunday morning to look after feeding his stock, when he was stricken with appolexy, falling in the lot and succumbing to the stroke before medical help could reach him. Mr. Heath was 63 years old.

He was a son of the late Cicero Heath, and spent his whole life in Chambers county. He was not only a successful farmer, but a progressive and patriotic citizen, always devoted to the best interests of his community and his country. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Mattie Robinson of Fredonia, one daughter, Mrs. Stinson Adams, one son, Luther Heath, six grandsons and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Heath had for many years been a consistent member of the Fredonia Methodist Church, where his funeral was held Monday afternoon, the impressive services being conducted by his pastor, Rev. L. D. Atkins, assisted by Rev. White, of LaFayette. Beautiful music was rendered by Mrs. Alf Cumbee and the church choir. The pallbearers were Messrs. Neal Smith, Jim Eberhardt, Alf Cumbee, E. W. Smart, John Stodgill and Mr. Moore. The interment took place in the church cemetery, Lee Heyman and Co., Funeral Directors in Charge.
