From The Adams Review, 1905:

Mrs. Nicholas Schwartz died at her home in Windom township, Saturday, April 15, 1905, after an illness of several years. at the age of 55 years. Her maiden name was Mary Uschold. They lived south of Rose Creek, near the Iowa state line for many years, and about 17 years ago Mr. Schwartz and family moved to their present location near Saint's Rest. Deceased was a woman of many worthy traits of character. She made friends of all who knew her because of her kindness of heart and her unselfish devotion to others. She leaves a husband and four sons to mourn the loss of a most faithful wife and mother. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fr. Schneider of Rose Creek, at St. Augustine's church in Austin, Monday forenoon, April 17. Interment in the Catholic cemetery at Austin.
