He was born 10 April 1888, at Spirit Lake, and married Josephine ATWATER, 14 Oct. 1914, at Robins. She died in 1983. Mr. Blackford was a retired Linn county farmer.
Surviving are 2 sons, Raymond BLACKFORD and Gerald BLACKFORD, both of Marion; a daughter, Pauline GILMORE of Cedar Rapids; 2 grandchildren and 6 great - grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. Bob Lawrence of Alburnett Methoodist Church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today and at the chapel after noon Wednesday. The casket will be closed before the service.
