Effie Lillian Olinger, a resident of Lafayette for the last 2 years died Tuesday following a long illness.
She was born at Spirit Lake 7 June 1885, and lived most of her life in the Robins vicinity in Linn county.
She was married to Antone Olinger 26 February 1908, at Alburnett. Mr. Olinger died 16 February 1953.
Mrs. Olinger was making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Lanning, Lafayette, at the time of her death. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Robins.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Louis Buresh, Las Cruces, N. Mex.; Mrs. Elmer Knight, Robins and Mrs. Arthur Lanning; 1 sister, Jessie Coonrod, Robins; 3 brothers, Hubert, Harry and Forrest Blackford, all of Marion; 3 grandchildren and 10 great - grandchildren.
Services Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Murdoch Chapel, Marion by the Rev. Donald Manworren, assisted by the Rev. Robert Day, both of Alburnett. Burial in Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m. tonight.
