SHE WAS A LIFE-LONG RESIDENT OF THIS COUNTY

In Ill Health Eight Years
Burial To Be in Dudman Cemetery Sunday


Mrs. Marietta Eugenia Briggle, 66, life-long resident of Jasper county, died at 6:18 o'clock last night at her home, 1007 South Maple street. She had been in ill health eight years, having suffered several strokes of paralysis. Mrs. Briggle had been an invalid several years.
She was born January 3, 1868 in Reeds. Her husband, John Briggle, died September 16, 1898.
Mrs. Briggle was a member of the Main Street Presbyterian church and of the Carthage chapter American War Mothers.
Surviving are three daughters, Miss Lorenie Briggle of Kansas City, Mrs. Harry Bowers of Carthage and Mrs. Leo Galbraith of Joplin; a son, Clay Briggle of Sherman, Texas; a brother, C. B. Hood of Joplin and three grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hood of Reeds. The son, Clay Briggle, was here this week visiting his mother and left yesterday morning for his home in Sherman. He will not return for the funeral services.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Ulmer-Drake Funeral home.
Burial will be in Dudman Cemetery.
