HERMAN WESTPHAL, RESIDENT HERE OVER 60 YEARS, DIES TODAY
Herman C. Westphal, an early resident of the city, died this morning
after an illness of only a week. Immediate cause of his death was
pneumonia.
The deceased was born in Germany and came here with his parents when
two years old and has resided in the city ever since. Had he lived
until the 28th of this month he would have been sixty six years of
age. Deceased leaves a widow and one son, Herman, a teacher in the
continuation school in Milwaukee, and one daughter, Mrs. Herman C.
Berndt of Fond du Lac, together with two grandchildren, Ruth and
Eunice Westphal. A brother, Fred Westphal, resides at Appleton. The
funeral will be held from the late home Tuesday afternoon, interment
at Evergreen, Rev. Machmiller officiating.
