MRS. WESTPHAL, 79, DIES; BURIAL HERE
Mrs. Bertha Westphal, 79, former resident of this city and widow of
Herman C. Westphal, died Saturday at the home of her daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herman C. Berndt at Fond du Lac. She had made her
home with them for the past 14 years.
The maiden name of the deceased was Bertha Rathsack, and she was born
in this city in 1853, making this city her home until the death of her
husband in 1918. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Berndt at Fond du Lac, two
grandchildren living in Detroit and five great grandchildren survive.
A son, Herman F. Westphal died seven years ago.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 from the Wattawa,
Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, with interment at Evergreen cemetery.
