WARREN Virginia - Collins, 87, passed away Feb. 6, 2004. Born in Ashville, N.C., on Sept. 20, 1916, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph B. Warren, Sr.; her son, Philip C. Warren; her grandson, Mitchell F. Warren; her parents, Hugh A. and Paralee Collins; her sisters, June C. Walker, Walnut Grove, S.C.; and Nancy C. Ballard, Bradenton, FL. Virginia was a graduate of the University of Florida, a retired employee of the university, and the coordinator of the Swim Fin exhibitions at UF. She was also very active in many groups at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Gainesville. Virginia's benevolence was evident through her love, support, wisdom, and encouragement of grandchildren, friends, and all who were privileged to know her. Survivors include a son, Ralph B. Warren, Jr. (Mary); a daughter in law, Mary Alice Warren; six brothers: Nicolas A. Collins, Bradenton; Ben F. Collins, Milton; Charles Collins, Morganton, N.C.; Dudley Collins, Bradenton; Gerald (Buddy) Collins , Bradenton; and Douglas (Mac) Collins, Liberty, S.C.; two sisters: Ruth Lynn Floyd, Live Oak; and Geraldine Neilan, Milton, Grandchildren include: Cindy Mason; Randy Warren (Anne), Orange Park; Tim Warren; Chris Warren, and Collins M. Warren (Leigh), Ft. Myers. Great grandchildren include: David Mason, Christina Warren, Jenny Warren and Matthew Warren. Visitation for friends and family will be from 68 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, with a Vigil and Rosary Service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. Funeral Services for Virginia Warren will be Tuesday Feb. 10, 2004 at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd., with interment
following at Riverside Memorial Gardens, 7242 Normandy Blvd.
