He was retired from the University of Florida where he was the shop forman in the physics department. A native of Asheville, he moved to Bradenton, Fla., in 1951 and to Gainesville in 1957.
He is survived by his wife, virginia Warren; two sons, Ralph Warren Jr. of Jacksonville, fla., and Philip Warren of Fort Myers, Fla.; one brother, Garrett Warren of Asheville; one sister, Lucille Francis of West Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville. The Rev. Father Jeffory McGowen will officiate. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. visitation will begin at noon Thursday. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
