MARTIN L. KIPFER

Martin L. Kipfer, 85, rural Adams County, died Wednesday in Adams County Memorial Hospital after suffering a stroke at home on Tuesday.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1908 in Adams County to Joel J. and Mary Gilliom Kipfer and married Marguerite Meiss on Sept. 2, 1945. She survives.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Apostolic Christian church.
Other survivors are four daughters, Mary A. Gerber, Mrs. Keith (Ruth) Baumgartner, and Elaine Kipfer, all of Bluffton, and Mrs. Jerry (Lois) Drayer, Ossian; two sisters, Frieda and Esther Kipfer, both of Bluffton; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Apostolic Christian Church, Vera Cruz, with burial in the church cemetery. Visiting hours will be after 6 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday in Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Preferred memorials are to Christian Care Center.
