OBITUARY MERELDA CHILD BINGHAM

Merelda Child Bingham, age 77, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed from this mortal life on Wed., December 5, 2001, to once again be reunited with her sweetheart and life long companion.

She was born May 2, 1924 in Ogden, Utah to John Marvin and Oneta Wilson Child. After graduation from Ogden High School in 1942, she married her high school sweetheart Richard O. Bingham on May 27, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. Their marriage was solemnized Oct. 16, 1944 in the Logan Temple.

Her life was devoted to her family and home. She was a vital support for her husband during his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II and throughout his life and career. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was a loving mother who was always there for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in various church callings during her life. She served for many years as a Den Mother in the Cub Scout Program.

Her enjoyment in life came from her family and friends. She always loved a good laugh. Singing and dancing were a cherished part of her youth. As a homemaker she gave a lifetime of service and provided a loving and nurturing home life. She was an accomplished cook and provided many wonderful meals for her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters: Richard C. (Vickie), Centerville; Patricia A. (Steve) Youngberg, Las Vegas; Susan G. (Kirk) Cleverly, West Bountiful; Craig A. (Cathy), Sandy; Wendy J. Alder, West Bountiful; three sisters: Marva (Bill) Keck; Karen (Leon) Ray; and Carol (Leo) Beuse; 22 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 1 p.m. at Russon Brothers Morturary, 295 No. Main St., Bountiful. A viewing will precede the service from 11:45-12:45. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery.
