Margie Faye Cantrell, age 79, a Sulphur area resident, was born on December 22, 1932, to Elmer and Elsie (Hicks) Woods, at Atoka County, Ok. Margie passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Sulphur, Ok. She attended Wilson School. Margie was a House Parent for the Department of Human Services Youth Shelter in Tishomingo, Ok. She married Billie Cantrell on October 12, 2002 in Atoka County. Margie attended Union Valley Baptist Church in Ada. She received the Carmel Bland Award for the most outstanding childcare worker in the state of Oklahoma in 1983. Margie enjoyed reading, sewing, canning, and playing music. Margie is survived by her children, Doug Brewer and wife Jerrie of Garland, Tx., Kathy Laxton and husband Mike of Sulphur, Ok.; siblings, Lois Patrick and husband Clarence of Mill Creek, Ok., Louise Granger and husband Arthur of Atoka, Ok., Neva Nichols and husband Toney of Wapanucka, Ok., Harold Woods and wife Ladonna of Tushka, Ok.; grandchildren, Cina Roan and husband Craig of Royce City, Tx., Angela Abella and husband Norm of Keller, Tx., Ricky Mincher and wife Julie of Caney, Ok., David Brewer and wife Sheila of Garland, Tx., Rodney Laxton of Roff, Ok., 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Elsie (Hicks) Woods; husbands, Hershel Brewer and Wayne Wimmer; sister, Nadine Woods ; children, Billy Wayne Brewer, Cleda Mincher, Karen Brewer, Kelly Brewer, Kendra Brewer; son-in-law, Virgle Mincher; foster grandson, Monty Dunn. Service will be Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at 2 pm at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Atoka. Interment will be at Boggy Depot Cemetery.
