To me, my father, "Daddy", as we all called him, was a wonderful man.
He was kind, hard working, had a dry wit, and seemed very uncomplicated.

He loved to tinker around the house, and the garage, which was his domain. He loved to hunt and fish; he could tie his own flies. That was an art in itself, with feathers and string.

He loved the mountains, where his family came from, and going up there to camp in summers, or a drive on Sunday afternoons, was something we did often.

His lifelong dream was to retire and live out his days in a cabin in his beloved Colorado mountains. But, sadly, he died quite young, never reaching that goal.

We all miss him, and think of him often, and always with a smile.
