Kathleen Carsner, 42, Dies; Rite Monday
Kathleen Joyce Carsner, 42, of 253 Ninth avenue, a resident of Marion for the last 37 years, died Saturday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
Born December 19, 1927, at Cedar Rapids, on June 21, 1947, at Marion, she was married to Richard Clyde Carsner. A 1945 graduate of Marion high school, she was a member of the First United Methodist church, W.S.C.S., and Marion Post No. 298 Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Richard C. Jr. and Donald of Marion and Danny L. Carsner with the army at Ft. Bliss, Texas; a daughter, Kitty, at home; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Waline of Marengo; 1 grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Theodore Dirks of Anamosa.
Services: 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Murdoch chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Lloyd C. Kellams. Friends may call at chapel after 1 p.m. Sunday.
