Monte Vista resident Tillie T. Archuleta, 91, passed away December 9, 2011 at her home in Monte Vista.

Tillie was born June 10, 1920 in El Rito, New Mexico the daughter of Joe D. Trujillo and Emilia Archuleta Trujillo.

She enjoyed gardening, yard work, cooking, sewing, an avid Bronco fan, traveling and spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include five daughters Anna Gould of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Bertha (Gil) Gonzales of Monte Vista, Colo.; Emily Archuleta of Albuquerque, NM; Josie Stolp of Monte Vista, Colo.; Linda Archuleta of Monte Vista, Colo.; six sons Donald (Isabelle) Archuleta of Espanola, NM; Gilbert Archuleta of Monte Vista, Colo.; Andy Archuleta of Alamosa, Colo.; David Archuleta of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Ronnie (Shelly) Archuleta of Pueblo, Colo.; Darrell (DeeDee) Archuleta of Monte Vista, Colo.; many loved grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law Pete Gallegos of Lucerne Valley, Calif. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tillie was preceded in death by her husband Jose S. Archuleta, one daughter Priscilla Montoya, one sister Lupe Trujillo, four brothers Frank, Bert, Seferino and J.D. Trujillo; grandsons Moses Archuleta and John David Gonzales.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of The Rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at the San Luis Valley Cemetery in Monte Vista. Arrangements are in care of Romero Funeral Home of Monte Vista.
