Marion W. Ackermann, 84, a resident of Ford County Nursing Home, Paxton, formerly of Gibson City and Sibley, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday (April 18, 1995 at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Sibley, the Rev. Dan Meuschke officiating. There will be no visitation. Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, has charge of arrangements.

He was born Jan. 30 1911, in Sibley, a son of William O. and Marie Molck Ackermann. One brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Ackermann was a resident of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., for 18 years before moving back to Gibson City four years ago. He was a member of American Lutheran Church, Gibson City.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
