Carol Anne Leisure, 77, passed away Thursday March 18, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday March 26, 2021 at Rosenbaum Funeral Home in Gibson City. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Carol was born January 13, 1944 in Bloomington, the only child to Marion and Mildred Shade Ackermann. She married Robert E. Leisure on September 18, 1965 in Sibley. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Bob Leisure of Gibson City. A son Rob (Misty) Leisure of Chenoa and three precious grandchildren Maison, Braedyn and Anisten. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol was a school crossing guard for the Gibson City Melvin Sibley school district for over thirty years. She proudly protected the corner of Sangamon and 15th street making sure all her kids safely crossed the road to and from school. She was a talented crocheter, and sold many of her creations on Ebay. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
