Edwin BACH, 54, Mentone, died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday in the Veterans hospital, Fort Wayne, after beng ill several weeks.He was born Jan. 9, 1924 in Sky, Ky., to Orbin and Nellie TAULBE BACH and had lived at Mentone since 1948, moving from Chicago. He was married June 26, 1948 in Argos to Dorothy LEWIS, who survives. He was the owner of Bach Well-Drilling and Excavating, Mentone. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army combat infantry in Europe, and was a member of the Mentone American Legion.
Surviving with the wife are the mother, Mrs. Nellie MATHIAS, Larwill; a son, James E. BACH, Mentone; two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. (Janice) McTECK, Sr., Mentone, and Jane Ann BACH, Mentone; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel CRAFT, Caney, Ky.; Mrs. Dessel HANES, Pierceton; Mrs. Georgia FUGATE, Dolton, Ill., and Mrs. Blanche TISCIOTO, Chicago, and a grandson. A sister and a brother preceded in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at he King memorial home, Mentone, with the Revs. Maurice KENT and Wardie CRAFT officiating. Burial will be in the Mentone cemetery. Friends may call aftr 3:30 p.m. today.
