Hazel Bach Craft of Caney, KY, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY, at the age of 92 years, 7 months, and 14 days. She was born on Friday, March 2, 1917 in Breathitt County, KY, a daughter of the late Orben and Nellie Taulbee Bach.

She was united in marriage to Wardie Craft on June 12, 1938. She was a retired elementary school teacher teaching in both Indiana and Kentucky. She was a born again Christian and a long time member of the Redeemed Baptist Church, Caney, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Wardie Craft on February 28, 1998; one son, John Ward Craft; two sisters, Dessel Long and Alma Hisle; and two brothers, Edwin Bach and Junior Bach.

She is survived by her two daughters, Angela and Eddie Jackson of Winchester, KY and Deborah Craft of Caney, KY; her two sons, Isaac Craft and Paul and Tammy Craft all of Caney, KY; many foster children; two sisters, Georgia and Estill Fugate and Joy Pisciotto all of Chicago, IL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Redeemed Baptist Church, Caney, KY with Rev. Esknovah Jackson, Rev. Paul Pelphrey and Rev. Roy Collett officiating.

Entombment in Memory Hill Cemetery, Caney, KY.

Visitation at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday October 18 and 19th at the Redeemed Baptist Church. Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers: Ken Stamper, Doug Stamper, Bill Stamper, Dennis Robinson, Arkie Ward Patrick, and John David Vaught.
