Estherville – Services for Beatrice Ruth Rosenow, 85, of Iowa City and formerly of Estherville will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 24 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Michael Juergens presiding. Interment will be in the East Side Cemetery. She died January 21 at the Solon Care Center, Solon, Iowa.
Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
She was born on December 19, 1906 in Dunlap, the daughter of Harry and Jeanette (Quick) Black. She married Barney Albert Rosenow in 1925 at Harlin. The couple lived on a farm near Earling until 1941 when they moved to Estherville, farming there until 1982. She then moved near Iowa City where she has lived since. She belonged to the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day saints and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters: Delores Tvedte, Iowa City; June Wilson, Decatur, Alabama; and three sisters: Lavonna Cornelius, Dunlap; Violet Hendershot, Kansas City, Missouri; and Genevieve Grant of Anthon. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
