"Clifford Hunnell, 88, Olathe, KS, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 1998, at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa, after a three-month illness.
"Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 16, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon-1 p.m. Friday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. He worked in field construction in many states before he went to work at the R.L. Faubion Steel Tank Co., from which he retired. He was preceded in death by a son, Bill, who died earlier this year; three sisters, Edith, Violet, and Etta; and a brother, Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Bess, and son, Ronald Hunnell, both of Lenexa, KS; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the Olathe Hospice, nurses at Delmar Gardens, and his many friends and neighbors who brought food, checked on him, and helped him live on his own for as long as possible.
