Joe Marsden entered the Lord's presence on September 11, 2007. Joe was born on October 1, 1917 in Lone Camp, Texas, the youngest of seven children. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Bunker Hill during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ and a retired State Farm agent. Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nita Marsden; daughters, Barbara Cattanach, Jo Ann Gonzales and husband, Ralph Gonzales; grandchildren, Stephanie Weatherford, Kelly Corrigan, Scott Cattanach, Cathleen Thomasson, Sharon Miller, Leslie Tietz and Katie Shilcutt; and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive visitors 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, September 14, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 15, 2007 at White Rock Church of Christ with interment following at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas.
