Grandma was a small woman who always had a smile on her face as though she knew what you were thinking. She made wonderful biscuits and pies and would let me play with the dough and cut it into strips and bake with sugar for a treat. She always made me wear a bonnet when going outside, and taught me how to gather eggs from under the chickens.
