Memorial services for Jimmie Rollins Botkin were Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Rock Springs Evangelical Free Church. The Rev. Richard P. Carlson officiated.
Botkin, 65, of 915 Walnut St., Rock Springs, was found dead in his home Tuesday evening, Jan. 17, 1990.
He was born on Feb. 11, 1925 in Fruita, Colo., the son of the late Paul and Oralee McDaniel Botkin. He attended schools in Colorado and married the former Virginia Anderson in Denver on Sept. 21, 1952. She preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 1980. Botkin was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired owner and operator of Dyes Office Supply in Rock Springs and a member of the BPO Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his stepmother, Charlotte Botkin of Laramie; two sons, Bart Botkin of Sheridan and [living survivor names removed]; three brothers, Bill Botkin of Denver, Mick Botkin of Laramie, and Guy Botkin of Parachute, Colo.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
