GENEVIEVE DAILY GERMANI, 84, died July 23, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Chief MSgt. Arthur E. Germani, USAF, of Providence, RI.
One of nine children, she was born January 27, 1920 in Dover, Arkansas, the daughter of Fred and Mary Daily.
Genevieve was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, avid golfer and bridge player. More importantly though, she possessed a generous spirit and gave of herself unselfishly all of her life. Although Genevieve was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1996, her profound love for life and endless sense of humor sustained her to the end of her life. She came to be known by her caregivers as "Sweet Genevieve". It was an honor and privilege to be her child.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Surviving are daughter, Pamela G. Quinlan and husband, Richard of Raleigh; son, Anthony E. Germani and wife Jeannie of Bumpass, VA; grandchildren, Alan Germani and wife, Ginger, Christine Germani, Stephen Germani, Morgan Germani, Kelda Stephan; great-grandchildren, Makela, Colton, Austin, Brayden.
