María Jorge del Rosario Alviso y Duarte was the young daughter of Francisco Alviso y Trejo and María de los Reyes Duarte y Gertrudis. She was born at the Pueblo of San José de Guadalupe, Alta California, Nueva España, in early April and baptized at the Monterey Presidio Chapel April 25, 1797 (SC Baptism 02161). She died at San José and was buried in the Mission Santa Clara de Asís cemetery March 17, 1801 (SCL Death 02593).
