Art Figure. Aline Charigot, who would become the wife of Pierre-Auguste Renoir, was born in the French village of Essoyes on the 23rd of May 1859. Aline met Renoir in 1880 and they were married on 14 April 1890. She bore him three children: Pierre, Jean, and Claude. Aline was a dressmaker by profession, but frequently modeled for Auguste both before and after their marriage.
