Minnie Belle (Erwin) Crabb, 89, of West, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 13, 2004, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home chapel with Minister Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery near Ross. The family will receive visitors from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.



Mrs. Crabb was born on Nov. 5, 1914 in Ross, the daughter of Walter and Willie Lee Erwin. She attended Ross schools and graduated from West High School in 1934.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Albert Crabb on Nov. 7, 1934 in West. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2003.



Belle was a devoted wife and totally dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She seemed to be the happiest when surrounded by her family. She loved needlework, gardening, and being outdoors. Belle was a devoted Christian, having been a member of the West Church of Christ for 74 years.



Her parents; three sisters, Willie Lee Nichols, Clara Grier, and Gillie Trammell; and two brothers, Elbert Erwin and John Henry Erwin all preceded her in death.



Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Plasek and husband, Emil of Woodway, Pat Crow and husband, Elwin of Austin and Donna Eke and husband, James of Houston; brother, James Erwin and wife, Mary Jane of Hot Springs, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Paula Jones and husband, Hutton, Camille Koehler and husband, David, Paige Zienert and husband, Randy, Dawn Plasek, Cathy Bertram and husband, Hal, Renee Parisi and husband, Cosmo and Charles Eke; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

She worked at General Tire Company, and the Uniform Shop. Minnie Belle worked hard in her garden producing and canning food to feef her family throughout the year.

She pieced and quilted many beautiful quilts that were given to her daughters and grandchildren. The quilts will be a reminder of her love and devotion to the family.

Albert and Minnie Belle Crabb, were a happy couple that hosted large family dinners that included marvelous fireworks.
