Mrs. Willie Lee Erwin Nichols died Sept 18, 1979. Burial will be at White Rock Cemetery.

Willie Lee was born in Houston to Henry Walter and Willie Lee Erwin and she had lived in Ross, Gholson, and West area most of her life.

Willie Lee Erwin married Chester Odell Nichols on Nov. 14, 1921. She was a member of the West Church of Christ.

Mrs. Nichols was a cook at the Ross School and she is remembered for her delicious food. She spent most of her adult life caring for her daughter Frances Lee Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Odell Nichols on September 25, 1965, and her brother Elbert R. Erwin Dec. 22, 1976.

She is survived by three sons, M.O. Nichols of Hawkins, Kenneth Nichols of Texas City, and Jerry Nichols of Bedford; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Allen of West, Mrs. Wanda Brock of Robinson, and Miss Frances Nichols of Mexia; two brothers, John Henry Erwin of Waco, and James Erwin of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Crabb and Mrs. Vernon Grier both of West, 13 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
