Obituary
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 6, 2010 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Bobby "Mulate" Allemond, age 76, who passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at 2:43 a.m. at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Allen Breaux, associate pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Allemond was a native and resident of Arnaudville for most of his life, having lived in Prairie Ronde for the past seven years. He was a parishioner of St. Bridget Church in Prairie Ronde.

Survivors include his wife of fifty seven years, Mary Jane Richard Allemond, of Prairie Ronde; four sons, Terald Allemond and his wife, Sarah of Arnaudville, Keith Allemond and his wife, Janet, Farrell Allemond and his companion, Tracy, of Mamou and Tim Allemond and his wife, Carolyn, all of Prairie Ronde; six daughters, Carla LaGrange of Prairie Ronde, Marella Savoie and her husband, Lester, of Opelousas, Brenda Landry and her husband, Toby, of Arnaudville, Tammy Guilbeau and her husband, Herbert, of Port Barre, Cheryl Credeur and her husband, Jason, of Leonville and Sabrina Allemond of Prairie Ronde; twenty seven grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; eight brothers, Allen Allemond and his wife, Geraldine, of Baton Rouge, Harold Allemond and his wife, Faye, of Patterson, Joe Allemond and his wife, Lydia, of Opelousas, Raoul June Allemond, Antoine Allemond and his wife, Phyllis, Russell Allemond, Wayne Allemond and his companion, Earline and Mervin Allemond, all of Arnaudville; and three sisters, Thelma Robin, and her husband, Allen, of Arnaudville, Irma Richard and Mildred Robin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raoul Allemond and the former Julie Olivier, both natives of Arnaudville; his brother, Henry Allemond; three sisters, Bertha Credeur, Agnes Courville and Cathy Carroll; and one son-in-law, Jerry LaGrange.

Melancon Funeral Home of Arnaudville, 224 Main Street was in charge of arrangements.
