Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Mervin L. "Pon Pon" Allemond, age 56, who passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his residence in Scott.

Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

Mr. Allemond was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Scott for the past five years. He was a talented musician and loved music playing the accordion or any other musical instrument. Mr. Allemond was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville.

Survivors include two sons, Brandon Allemond and Dylan Allemond, both of Scott; seven brothers, Allen Allemond and his wife, Geraldine, of Prairieville, Joseph Allemond and his wife, Lydia, of Leonville, Harold Allemond and his wife, Deanna Faye, of Patterson, Tony Allemond and his wife, Phyllis, Raoul Allemond, Jr., Russell Allemond and Wayne Allemond and his companion, Earline, all of Arnaudville; and three sisters, Thelma Robin and her husband, Allen and Mildred Robin, all of Arnaudville and Irma Richard of Morgan City.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Connie Olivier Allemond; his parents, Raoul Allemond, Sr. and the former Julia Olivier, both natives of Arnaudville; two brothers, Henry Allemond and Bobby Allemond; and three sisters, Bertha A. Credeur, Agnes A. Courville and Cathy A. Carroll.
