Marie THOMPSON Brooks was the youngest child of Glenn T. THOMPSON and Maude BASS Thompson. Marie was a native of Santa Barbara, growing up in the downtown area. Her family owned THOMPSON'S CONFECTIONERY & MALT SHOP at 521 State Street. Her first home was the apartment upstairs from the family store. Marie went to Santa Barbara Jr. $ Sr. High Schools. Marie contacted polio and passed away from the polio.
