Bud was the son of the late Henry Fred and Mary Mollie Stegall Jordan of Greenville, SC. He was predeceased by his sisters Annie Belle Ellenburg, Hattie Belle Sullivan, and Vera Jordan and brother Thomas Jefferson Jordan. He is survived by his brother Henry Fred Jordan.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Agnes Brown Jordan and daughters Susie Jordan, Peggy Rogers, and Patricia Matthews. He is also survived by his sons Bud (Johnson), Danny, Mike, Phillip and William Jordan
