∼Gastonia-Bud C. Jordan Jr.,78 of 465 Crowders Creek Road passed away June 5,2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Anderson County,S.C.,born March 4,1934,to the late Bud C.Jordan Sr. and Sarah Agnes Brown Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Phillip,a sister Jennie and two grandchildren Mitchell Hallman and Christy David.
Bud retired from Firestone after more than 39 years of service,he also attended Holland Memorial Baptist Church.
He was survived by his loving wife of 45 years Vivian Parham Jordan,his daughters Evon Jordan,Melinda Lunsford,Deborah Wilson and Bobbie Cantrell,brothers Mike and Danny Jordan of Gastonia and William Jordan of Rockingham,sisters Susie Kester and Pat Matthews of Gastonia and Peggy Jordan of Georgia,special grandson Patrick Jordan and a special grandson and caregiver Charlie David and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with the Rev.Jim Sawyer offication.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 prior to the service.
Graveside will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the releasing of the doves.
