John Joseph Albers was born May 16, 1860 at his home on the old Koeltztown Road and died on July 11, 1953 at the home
of his daughter, Louise Baumhoer. He is buried in Westphalia

John Joseph Albers was married to a wife of unknown name who died when his two children were very small.
1) John William b-June 24, 1892 died March 10, 1971. He married Gertrude Zilman and they lived in Argyle.
2) Christen b-May 28, 1894, died Dec. 23, 1954 She married Gertrude Zilman and they lived in Argyle.

After the death of his first wife, John Joseph married Elizabeth Bock on January 26, 1896. Elizabeth was born Dec. 19, 1868
and died at home on June 27, 1926. She is buried in Koeltztown. John Joseph and Elizabeth had seven (7) children.

1) Gertrude born Nov. 1896 died Sept 1952 and never married
2) Louis born April 7, 1898 died June 14, 1980 He never married
3) Anna b-July 11, 1900 died June 13, 1969 She was married to August "Gus" Senke. They lived in Jefferson City until the
early 1960's when they built a house in Folk.
4) William born March 11, 1903 died Sept 27, 1952. He married Ella Johannesmeyer and lived in Westphalia
5) Louise born Feb. 12, 1905 and is still living in Jeff City, with her only child's wife. Clarence was her son.
She married George Baumhoer. Louise will be 100 years old come February.
6) Celia born March 2, 1908 died Feb 14, 2001 She was married to Thed??? or Ted Porting and they lived in Rich Fountain
7) Conrad born March 25, 1910 died Sept 3, 1985. He married Marge Twehouse and lived in St. Thomas

John Joseph lived with his daughter in Folk since the late 1930's or early 1940's. He enjoyed many a walk from Folk to Westphalia
to spend some time with his son William and his family. "I know I always enjoyed when my grandpa stayed with me"

John Joseph and Elizabeth had seven grandchildren: Four Portings, one Baumhoer, one Kruse and one Albers (Del Fay).
