Wade Hampton Patton, III was the third child and only son of Wade Patton, Jr. and Adele Brown Patton. When he was five years old, the family moved to Prospect Park, PA. He lived there until graduation from Interboro High School in 1958.
After serving in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963, Wade first attended West Chester University, West Chester, PA. and graduated from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon. He was a graduate student at the University of Miami when he died from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning at an outdoor drive-in theater.
Wade loved his family, movies, football, reading, traveling, and had dreams of going to New Zealand.
Wade was unmarried, and was buried in the family plot at Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, alongside his father.
