On September 11, 1931, Adele married Wade H. Patton, Jr. They had two daughters and a son, Wade H. Patton, III (1941-1969). Her husband's work took them first to Richmond, Virginia and then to Prospect Park, PA. She was widowed in 1956 and never remarried.
From 1956 to 1974, Adele was employed in the Sales Department of WaWa Dairy, Lima, PA. She made a home for her mother, Minnie, during the last years of Minnie's life. From 1979 to 1992, Adele lived near her older daughter in Seaford, Delaware. She lived with her younger daughter at Delta Junction, Alaska, from 1992 until her death on June 3, 2005 and is buried there on the farm of Living Word Ministries.
Adele had served as a Democratic committee woman, as well as a member of the Prospect Park Improvement Association. She attended several Baptist churches and Senior Centers wherever she was living. Always close to her only sibling, Cozy Moulton (1910-2000), Adele was especially fond of games, puzzles, and just being with her many friends, four grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
