DEATH OF LYNZA HIATT

Lynza Hiatt was found dead in bed Sunday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hinshaw, one mile south of town. He had been an invalid since childhood, and was subject to epilepsy, so it is supposed he died during one of those attacks.

Mr. Hiatt was the youngest child in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Hiatt, and had lived all his life on the farm south of town, where he was born. He was 52 years old. Since the death of his parents, he had lived with his sister, Mrs. Ira Hinshaw. He was unable to work on account of continued ill-health. He was a member of the Friends church. He leaves three brothers, Simon Hiatt, of Hiatt, Mo.; Abel Hiatt, of Americus, and Eli Hiatt, of Emporia, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Ann Hinshaw and Mrs. Ira Hinshaw.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the home, and the friends services was observed. Interment was made in the new Cottonwood cemetery, west of Emporia.'
