Called Babaw by her grandchildren, Johnnie Laverne Hudson was born in Tennessee Colony, Texas and moved to Ector with her parents around 1910. She met and married Simon Luke Moore and they had 5 children and lived to see most of her 11 grandchildren grown and quite a few great grandchildren born. The line has now expanded to include an uncountable number of great and great-great grandchildren with maybe a couple of great-great-great grandchildren.
She was a loving woman who was strong in her Christian faith. Expert with the embroidery needle and crochet hook. She was much loved and is dearly missed by all who knew her.
