Marion M. "Bill" Greenfield, 90, died June 25, 2010 at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 2, 1919 in Hutchinson to Warnie and Daisy Chadwick Greenfield. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, Bill worked at Carey Salt for 40 years. He belonged to the United Mine Workers Union and the Carey Salt Retirees Breakfast Club.

On Sept. 2, 1938, he married Mary Lucille Sumwalt in Hutchinson. She died Dec. 30, 2003.

Survivors include: son, Billy Joe Greenfield and his wife Ruthann, Ponca City, OK; daughter, Pamela Polk and her husband Earl, Burrton; 6 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife; brother, Elmer Greenfield; and sisters, Velma McCoy, Daisy Schrader, and Martha Donaho.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Elliott Chapel with grandson, Bill Greenfield officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be 9-9 Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 6-8 Monday at Elliott Chapel.
