John Allgood


John Allgood, 92, retired cabinet maker for Fulwider Lumber Co. here, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his son, Clarence, 2419 Arlington Rd.

A native of Washington County, Allgood was a member of the Christian Church and the Knights of Pythias Lodge.

He is survived by a second son, Leslie, of Michigan City; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Heitger of Bloomington; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Chase and Mrs. Horace Stiler, both of St. Petersburg, Fla; 15 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

His wife, Laura, preceded him in death in 1942.

Funeral will be 2 p. m. Friday at the Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. Clyde Sciscoe will officiate.

Grandsons will be pallbearers. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home.
