Aunt Beulah was the younger sister of my grandmother Ada. After the family came west from Michigan they lived in Washington state for a few years, Aunt Beulah met and married Peter "Pete " Thoreson , in Seattle, King, Washington January 24, 1918., ,he was twenty years older then her and a timber salesman for a logging company in Northern Washington. He had been married before to a young half Indian girl named Bessie Wooten, who was the daughter of Shadrack Wooten and Mary Charley. Mary was full blooded Indian. I have not found which tribe.
When Pete passed away in Seattle his two daughters were at his bedside.
Both his parents were born in Norway and came to America, and resided in Jackson County, Minnesota where Pete was born before moving to Washington.
Aunt Beulah and Pete had two daughters, Ruth Wildes Thoreson, born in Broomfield, Pierce County, Washington , 1918~2003, and Cecil Wanda Thoreson, born in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, 1920~2005, Wanda served in the Navy .
