Mrs. Emma Jane Alexander, 65, widow of the late William Ernest Alexander, died Tuesday, May 20, at 12:50 a.m. at her home at 118 North Fayette St. Death followed a 14 month illness and was due to a stroke.
Born Aug. 26, 1886 near Shippensburg, Mrs. Alexander was a daughter of the late William and Bathsheba Keefer Warren.
She is survived by four children, Charles E. Alexander of Shippensburg R. R. 2; Howard W. Alexander and Fred C. Alexander of Shippensburg, and Mrs. Clinton S. Russell, at home; one sister, Mrs. Robert W. Reed of Shippensburg, 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p. m. from the Van Scyoc funeral home. The Rev. M. C. Manning, pastor of the Church of God will officiate and burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Friends were to call Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m. at the funeral home.
