Funeral services were held for Eligah Gough on September 30th, 1935. He died on the same day after a brief illness in the Olla clinic. Burial was made in the Adams cemetery west of Kelly with Rev. Crain and Rev. F. L. Hearne in charge of the services.

Eligah was born August 3, 1887 and spent his entire life in the vicinity of Kelly. He was well and favorably known.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eula Newell Gough; one daughter, Mrs. Troy McDaniel; eight brothers, Mose, Hansford, Ben, Earl and Taylor Gough of Kelly, Doro Gough of Start, Edward and John Gough of Hinton, and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Gough Steen of Kelly.
