Rev. Hearon Tod Carmack, 72, of Rainbow Ridge, Berea, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at his home.

Born in Jackson County, Ky., he was the son of John Daniel and (Dora Alice (Gentry) Carmack. He was a retired employee of General Motors, a member of Dixie Park Baptist Church and a Korean War veteran. He was a former pastor of the First Baptist Church in Gratis and of Owsley Fork Baptist Church, Owsley, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Maylon Carmack; two sisters, Callie Langdon and Elizabeth Langdon; and three brothers, Hence Carmack, Carlous Carmack and Lloyd Carmack.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Fay (Centers) Carmack; a daughter, Cathy (Steve) Worsham of Tennessee; a brother, Robert Carmack of Indiana; four sisters, Helen Johnson and Mary Lux, both of Ohio, Edna Baker of Kentucky and Elsie Gabbard of Georgia; two grandchildren, Michele (James) Schneider and Michael (Tonya) Worsham; and three great-grandchildren, Chassi Schneider, Savana Schneider and Ashley Worsham.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Dixie Park Baptist Church, with the Rev. Doug Collins officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Knob Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home, Berea, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.
