LANGDON, Elizabeth age 82, of Germantown, OH, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Sycamore Glen Retirement Community in Miamisburg, OH. Elizabeth was born in Jackson County, KY, on January 7, 1922 to the late John D. and Dora A. (Gentry) Carmack. She retired from the Inland Division of General Motors; and was a member of the Miamisburg First Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Langdon (1991); her sister, Callie Langdon, 3 brothers, Hence, Lloyd and Carlos Carmack; and her son-in-law, Eugene Pius Gardinale. She is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Gardinale of Germantown, OH and Rita (Craig) Miller of Jamestown, NC; her son, Gary (Karen) Langdon, Claremont, CA; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Shawn) Handy, Alex, Nick & Amy Miller, Parker & Cortney Langdon; her great-grandson, Nicholas Anthony Pius Handy; 4 sisters, Elsie Gabbard of Atlanta, GA, Edna (Bob) Baker of Bardstown, KY, Helen Johnson and Mary Lux, both of New Paris, OH; 2 brothers, Hearon "Tod" (Lois) Carmack of Richmond, KY and Robert (Sharon) Carmack of Indianapolis, IN; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the DALTON FUNERAL HOME, Corner of State Rte. 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown. The Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the First Church of God, 446 N. Heincke Rd., Miamisburg, OH, with Pastor Mark McCain officiating. Burial Hillgrove Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the Germantown Rescue Squad.
