Byron Massey of Granbury, 72, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Granbury. Funeral was Friday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: Acton Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Massey was born July 30, 1938, in Tolar, to Fred H. Massey and Annette Cherry Massey. He married Carolyn Diane Degg, August 24, 1973, in Oklahoma. He was a lifelong resident of Hood County and a member of Waples Methodist Church. He was retired from David Campbell Construction and the Star-Telegram distribution. He loved to work on old cars.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, brother Charles and sons, Larry Joe and Curtis.
Survivors: Sons, Travis Massey and wife, Robin, of Granbury, Todd Massey of Granbury; daughters, Terri Kindle and husband, Donald, of Granbury, Diane Massey of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lyndel Campbell and husband, David of Granbury; brother, Dale Massey of Granbury; and several nieces and nephews.
