John E. Alexander, 51, Greentown, died Oct. 31, 1988 in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. He was born Dec. 18, 1936, in Kokomo, to Scott and Marie Foreman Alexander. They survive. On April 20, 1958, he married Sue Dick. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Andy Alexander of Greentown; three daughters, Kris Myers and Jean Armstrong, both of Greentown, and Carol Alexander of Kokomo; two brothers, Wayne Alexander of Greentown and Elvin Alexander of Wintersville, Ohio; a sister, Joan Tew of Miami; and three grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Alexander had worked at Kokomo Sanitary Pottery and was custodian at Eastern School Corp. until February. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hasler-Pickett Funeral Home, Greentown. The Revs. Charles Hill and Logan Sparling officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Brain tumor Association.
