Nina Brittain, 81, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment Jan. 28, 1997 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Jan. 30 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Jon Gaul officiated the services and burial was at the North McDonald Cemetery in Madison County.
She was born in Patterson on Nov. 12, 1915 to Harry and Lola (Essex) DeBord. She married Paul H. Brittain on Nov. 8, 1934 in Winterset. She was a retired bookkeeper for Brittain's Standard Parts and was a lifetime resident of Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and one son.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Myrna L. Smith of Hamilton, Ill.; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
